Project: To reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs with LED lighting
The Brief -
Skandia Fastigheter owns and manages the building which includes Sveavägen 44 in Stockholm. At Sveavägen, the aim was to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs in the entrance, elevator halls and other general areas by switching the existing lighting to an LED solution.
The Solution -
The best LED solution to reduce energy costs in the entrance, elevator halls and connecting conference rooms was our Glow 225 CTC downlight. These areas have ceilings tiles that allow for mounting recessed luminaires. On the ceiling surfaces, in front of the elevators, a microwave-type motion sensor was installed which was also recessed within the ceiling tiles. In the after-hours of business this sensor has been programmed to dim after 30 seconds to maximise energy savings.
The Glow 225 CTC is an energy efficient luminaire that provides over 120 lumens per watt. The luminaire can be adjusted in both colour temperature and brightness via wireless or DALI control. In this case, wireless control was chosen in the form of a remote control which is managed by real estate technicians. In the conference rooms, a recessed PIR presence sensor was installed.
