Project: To switch the sign lighting to LED
The Brief -
IKEA in Kungens Kurva needed to switch the lighting that is used to illuminate the facades, signs and advertisements all over the department store. The old lighting consisted of a mixture of 41x 150 and 250 Watt halogen headlights totalling 8550 Watts. It was then decided to change these fittings to an efficient LED lighting solution.
The Solution -
IKEA decided to use our SunBURST 8 LED, with specific optics that would alter the light distribution. We reduce the number of lights used from 41 to 32. These were equipped with built-in light sensors and wireless controls. The light sensor activates these fittings individually at dusk. The wireless control system has been used to adjust light levels and set the light sensor optimally, all to maximise energy savings.
The SunBURST has been replaced by the SunSHINE.
